The Towayam
 |
The first Winter Park Annual was published by the class of 1939. Before this there had only been an annual paper devoted to the senior class.
The annual was named"Towayam" by the Class of 1940.
Towayam is an indian name meaning "Beloved by All."

The season started off in good form as the Wildcats defeated Bartow 19-14. Injuries to several key Wildcats proved fatal to the usually outstanding win loss record. A string of losses followed. The season ended, however, in a blaze of glory with a spectacular touchdown and extra point in the tense last seconds of the Apopka game |
